Python 3.10 reaches end of life in October 2026. This drops it, following the same change in modern-di, its integrations, eof-fixer and lite-bootstrap.

Changes

  • requires-python is now >=3.11,<4, and the 3.10 classifier is gone.
  • CI: lint now runs on 3.11, and "3.10" is dropped from both the floors matrix and the pytest matrix.
  • The PyYAML python_version < '3.12' floor marker is unchanged. It still covers 3.11.

Verification

On 3.11: just lint-ci, just test-ci (1580 passed, 100% coverage) and just adr-check all pass. The podman and docker integration and conformance jobs run in CI only.

Release

This is a breaking change because it drops a supported interpreter. Release it as a minor version, not a patch.
