I build open source software, infrastructure, and communities. I'm currently a Cloud Engineer at Development Seed. Previously, I was the Open Source Lead at CarbonPlan, a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, and a scientist for the U.S. federal government 🧑💻. I completed a PhD researching underwater volcanoes at the MIT/WHOI Joint Program 🌋
As of September 2026, most of my working time is focused on making NASA Earth data streamable as virtual Zarr stores and shaping geospatial conventions for Zarr through GeoZarr.
