The Java book had no downloadable release, and its publication gate used JDK 21 against published framework dependencies compiled for Java 25. Both CI and releases now use JDK 25, install pinned book tooling including pytest, and verify both language editions before producing a draft release for visual review.

Ordinary fenced code blocks now share the named-listing layout, and long code identifiers wrap within the page. Manuscript text and the companion application remain unchanged.

Validation: the complete companion Maven reactor passed with a fresh dependency cache on JDK 25 (33 tests, no failures/errors/skips). All 15 book-tooling tests and both listing checks pass; actionlint passes. Both PDFs and EPUBs were rebuilt and visually sampled; all PDF pages passed a text-boundary check, and EPUB XML/internal links passed structural validation. Local PDFs contain 413 English and 441 Spanish pages. The release remains a draft until its generated artifacts are reviewed.
