Add an option to not charge the vehicle when the load percentage is unknown

Currently when EVCC does not know the load percentage of the vehicle it starts to charge at maximum speed. I would like an option so you can change that to smart of none.

No, it does not. It charges with the power u configured... in PV / Smart mode it depends on the PV surplus (and battery boost enabled/disabled) , and only in "Fast" mode it charges with max. speed. BUT: without SoC it will charge the vehicle until the battery is full OR the vehicle stops charging by itself.

You have activated a charging plan. If evcc calculates it is likely not possible to reach the target SoC at the given time with the current PV surplus, it will use all power he can (max. speed). Without knowing the SoC the charging plan won't work as expected.

Have you configured something different under vehicles? Or perhaps a welcome charge? Or a minimum SoC to be reached no matter how much PV is available?
Under Smart (with settings what was previously PV) none of our cars start charging with more than what excess PV power is available.

@brand1011 I understand that, when EVCC handles unknown as zero. And that is not what I want. I want that when the SoC is unknown it ignores the plan and only uses the PV power. That is my suggestion. And because I assume that not everybody wants that, I have suggested an option.

OK. That is a legal point we can talk about. Actually charging plans does not work as expected without knowing the vehicle SoC.

I think charging with full speed is the best thing that evcc can do whenever a plan is active or a minimum charge level is configured. Better a battery that is too full than en empty battery when you need your car.

@kjs-DE I have set the vehicle to minimum of 40%. But I already tried to set it to none and then it still charges at full speed.
